Summer Cottage nestles in the South Lake District village of Allithwaite, very convenient for Windermere, Coniston, Ullverston and Kendal, only half an hour from Lancaster and 60 minutes from Blackpool.

 

There are beautiful views across across the valley to Kirkhead Tower from the sitting room and the two main bedrooms.

There are a double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (one with bunk beds), and a proper fold-out double sofa-bed in the sitting room.

 

Summer Cottage has a very spacious kitchen-diner with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, etc and an equally spacious sitting room with a real fire if it’s cold, or you can relax at the end of the day on the balcony and enjoy the spectacular views. There is also a TV and DVD with many films.

 

We have also provided many board games and enough packs of cards for Racing Demon if the weather is too bad to go out.

 

The brand new luxury bathroom is equipped with a spa bath to soothe away those aches and pains, and we have just fitted a beautiful separate shower room downstairs.

 

The back garden has a barbeque and garden furniture, and a small shallow stream running along the end which our children love paddling in. If you look carefully, you can sometimes see the brown trout! Summer Cottage is set in secluded private grounds far from traffic, which makes it very safe for children, yet it’s only a five minute walk to the local pub or a five minute drive into Cartmel (home of Sticky Toffee Pudding and Cartmel Race Course) or Grange-over-Sands, where there are many other pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
